2015 was a year of BIG FAITH for Sheep Inc. Health Care Center!
First, the clinic took a leap of faith and hired a full-time Director of Clinic Operations. Along with the increasing demands of overseeing the clinic day-to-day, and recruiting, developing and scheduling volunteers, there was a growing need for someone who would pursue avenues for financial growth. That stability is paramount for SIHCC to advance—and improve—the delivery of free, quality health care to those without health insurance.
Another monumental step of faith in obedience to God’s leading was the opening of a SECOND LOCATION, which is in Turtle Creek. Opening another site necessitated an additional component: converting from paper charting to electronic health records. Not only would we have to exercise faith to acquire the computers and hardware necessary for the conversion, we’d have to trust in God’s wisdom for the ability, time and energy the volunteers would need in order to learn a medical computer system and a whole new way of doing things.
Now, in these early days of 2016, WE’RE ALREADY EXPERIENCING FRUIT from last year’s exciting (and scary!) steps of faith. In December, we launched the Turtle Creek site and treated one patient. On January 2nd, that number tripled! God is so awesome! And, on January 7, SIHCC Monroeville went completely electronic! Hallelujah! We ask for your prayers as we continue to fine-tune procedures and incorporate the new system. (SIHCC Turtle Creek is currently open the first Saturday of each month from 3-5:30 P.M.)
Full-time leadership of the clinic has led to the expansion of services into other communities and networking with community leaders in churches, businesses, and organizations. Additionally, we’re seeing increased donor support from faithful supporters like you, as well as new partnerships. And, we’re beginning to see the strengthening of our financial base through the awarding of grants. Praise the Lord!
All of these miraculous things have happened through YOUR INVOLVEMENT! It amazes me that, every day, God uses “ordinary” people like us to accomplish the extraordinary work of His Kingdom! God loves us. He doesn’t just care that we are “right” with Him. He cares—more than we can even imagine—that we are healthy… heart, soul, mind and body.
Through your prayers, partnership, and giving, God’s love is being shown as we touch the lives of individuals and families in our community. Thank you!
May God richly bless you and your family always…
