Sometimes making a difference starts with one person, one idea, and a generous heart! ❤️

At Sheep Inc. Health Care Center, we see firsthand the struggles faced by individuals and families in our community. For many of our uninsured patients, the challenges go far beyond accessing medical care. Putting food on the table can be just as difficult.

Our staff has been discussing the idea of starting a small food pantry to help meet some of these needs. And last night, that idea took its first step toward becoming a reality!

We are blessed to have fourth-year LECOM medical students complete their underserved clinical rotations with us. One of our current students also volunteers at the Gateway School District Food Pantry. When he learned about our hope to provide food for our patients, he took the initiative to help!

Through the generosity of the Gateway School District Food Pantry, he arrived at the clinic last night carrying groceries they had allowed him to select to help us get started! 🛒❤️

What a beautiful example of what happens when caring people see a need and find a way to make a difference!
